Overview
Our courses are divided into two semesters, 24 hours for one semester. Each semester, students will be assigned different tasks and topics. Students can enrol on the courses for two consecutive semesters or individual semester.

What will I learn?
This course aims to develop the spoken and written English communication skills that students have in order to meet the needs of their secondary studies and prepare them for senior secondary studies. The main emphasis is on building students’ confidence in speaking and competency in grammar and vocabulary.

- Introduction to Creative Writing - Developing Imagery in Writing - Exploring Genres - Using appropriate vocabulary for different genres - Developing Public Speaking - Strategies for Impromptu Speeches - Building and Organising Ideas - Presentations and Visual Aids
Remarks
A Certificate of Attainment will be awarded by the Centre for Professional and Business of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to students who attend 80% of classes and achieve satisfactory result in coursework.
