Overview
Our courses are divided into two semesters, 24 hours for one semester. Each semester, students will be assigned different tasks and topics. Students can enrol on the courses for two consecutive semesters or individual semester.
Who is it for?
This course aims to develop F.3 and F.4 students’ four main skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. It provides a strong foundation in English by developing effective communication skills.

Industry:
What will I learn?
Classes will be delivered in an interactive style using role plays, real case discussions and group projects with students closely monitored and given full feedback to substantially improve their English. Our trainer will help students build confidence, fluency and accuracy using English in a variety of tasks. Students will be required to complete two projects in the whole learning cycle, ie one semester.

- Building vocabulary in science, arts and business domains - Developing good writing style - Polishing grammar and writing techniques - Generating ideas and brainstorming - Planning and organization of reports - Writing short reports - Project research techniques - Project presentation techniques
Remarks
A Certificate of Attainment will be awarded by the Centre for Professional and Business of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to students who attend 80% of classes and achieve satisfactory result in coursework.
