Overview
Junior Entrepreneur will help students to build confidence using English in a variety of tasks related to developing and marketing a business idea.

The course will stretch and develop students’ English communication skills, creativity and most importantly, entrepreneurial spirit in a stimulating and interactive business-based environment.
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at students aged 16-18 who have an eye on their future careers and who want to experience an in-depth simulation of being a real entrepreneur.

What will I learn?
By introducing appropriate spoken and written models of professional English in contexts tailored to their age, students will complete a series of business-related tasks using spoken and written English as they develop and market a product or service.
Course Topics
Creating a company
- In groups, students will form companies.
- Students will then create a profile for their company’s website.
- Groups will also develop a brand image for their companies.

Discussion and Problem Solving Skills
- Each company will consider ideas for a new product or service.
- Each student within a group will present an idea for the new product or service using visual aids and supporting documents
- Groups will then discuss each product / service presentation, the anticipated problems and suggest solutions in a semi-formal meeting setting.
- A decision will be reached as to which product / service will receive the go-ahead.

Persuasive Writing – sales letters , brochures or press releases
- Companies will then produce a sales letter, brochure or press release informing the public about their new product or service.
- Companies will also invite prospective customers / clients to a press launch at which the group will present the company and its new product or service.

Open Day - Sales and Information Presentations
- Each company will deliver a group presentation to their classmates and a panel of judges.
- Each presentation will be judged according to the following criteria:
* originality of idea
* content detail
* persuasiveness and interest
* pronunciation
* accuracy and variety of language
* visual aids
- The most effective presentation will be announced by the judges and prizes awarded.
