Recruitment Testing

Communication is critical for your organisation. Do you find that promising recruits let you down because they can’t communicate their ideas?

CPBE designs and conducts language assessments relevant to your organisation. Each task is evaluated against an agreed set of criteria.  We are a regional centre for language assessments and exams offered by the University of Cambridge (UK) and train examiners for accreditation by the University. Benchmarking

Are you concerned that you may be spending money on training staff that may not benefit from it?

Those staff may already have the skills to achieve their tasks to an acceptable level, or they may not be able, even with the best training available, to reach the level of competency you need from them.

By analysing precisely what each position in your organisation needs to achieve in English, we can determine precisely what skills are required. We call this, determining benchmarks for that job position.  Once we have determined benchmarks, we can assess whether each holder of that position has the required skills to do their job well.

We can then advise on a comprehensive but targeted approach including either competency (skills) development or proficiency (language) development.

Are you concerned that staff may lose their new skills after a training course has finished? 

We have a range of support services to help ensure that their language learning lasts:
We can:

  • give the learners a task to complete each month for a set period after the course
  • conduct top-up sessions at agreed intervals after the course
  • examine authentic workplace document at intervals
  • continue to train and maintain a group of accomplished writers to act as mentors for colleagues
  • provide seminars on a regular basis.
